New Congolese passport application procedures

The Embassy recently began processing applications of the new Congolese Biometric Passport.
Please make sure that your passport complies with the updated regulations.

Application requirements for the new passport are as follows:

1. Set up an appointment at the Embassy to fill an application, be fingerprinted and have your picture taken.
2. Provide 2 identification pictures (passport format) for your Consular card. If you already picked up your biometric passport but without a Consular card, please click HERE.
3. Provide a copy of your old passport. If your passport was lost or stolen, please provide a proof from the police.
4. Provide a copy of one of the following: Green Card, I -94, State ID, or Driver's License
5. Provide a money order of $180, payable to the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
   Note : The Embassy does not accept personal checks

Let us know by e-mail ( ambassade@ambardcusa.org ) when you plan on coming to apply and be fingerprinted.
Note :
The following information is required on the passport application :
Groupe Ethnique, Territoire, District, Localité d'origine, Secteur, Province.
Make sure you have it all before coming to apply.

Be advised that passports are issued in Kinshasa. The Embassy will not be able to provide processing time estimates.
