Newly updated Congolese passport application procedures

The Embassy recently began processing applications of the new Congolese Biometric Passport.
Please make sure that your passport complies with the updated regulations.

Application requirements for the new passport are as follows:

  1. Set up an appointment at the Embassy to fill an application, have your picture taken and be fingerprinted.
  2. Provide a copy of your old passport. If your passport was lost or stolen, please provide proof from police.
  3. Provide a copy of one of the following: Green Card, I -94, State ID, or Driver's License
  4. Provide a money order of $250, payable to the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
    Note : The Embassy does not accept personal checks

Be advised that the passport will be issued in Kinshasa. Therefore the Embassy will be unable to provide processing time estimates.
